Oak Grove Technologies, LLC, a dynamic and fast-growing federal contractor, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Armorer to support operations at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Artesia, New Mexico.

Requirements

As the Role Player Coordinator you will have the responsibility of leading, coordinating, and managing approximately fifty role players daily. You will ensure all role players have the required information to participate in physically demanding activities in support of basic, advanced, and in-service employee training to include canine-related, protective mission, and escalation/de-escalation scenarios.

  • When provided with a scenario script a minimum of ten days in advance of the exercise:

        · Assign Role Players to scenarios, typically scheduled Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Additional training may be scheduled after 10:00 PM on weeknights and on weekends due to training requirements and the availability of training areas. Work will not be scheduled during holidays, when the government is closed due to local and/or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar government directed facility closings.

       · Ensure role players are prepared for their role(s) and be prepared to become a role player yourself.

       · Forward the scripts and the training objectives to the assigned role players and ensure they are familiar with and understand their assigned roles prior to the day of the exercise.

  • Be available on a flexible time schedule.
  • Upon arrival for training scenarios, ensure all role players are briefed by the instructor on specific requirements and notified of any deviations.
  • Communicate with individuals in a customer service capacity. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, a college degree is a plus.
  • Extensive background in law enforcement, with preference given to retired law enforcement officers. Experience in federal law enforcement and a tactical background is preferred.
  • Meet the USSS security requirements of this solicitation to include a background check and drug screening.
  • At least two years’ prior experience in managing or leading a team of employees.
  • Have verifiable skills related to customer service, administration, multi-tasking, record keeping, and scheduling. 
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills that foster teamwork and promote safety. 
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
  • Have a valid state-issued driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Prior driving experience is required. Must pass a driver safety skills test.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policies and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine logs, reports, and correspondence. 
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage schedules, timekeeping records, and payroll records.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 60-minute intervals. 
  • Be able to carry up to 20 pounds of training props during this timeframe. 
  • In certain training scenarios, they shall be able to run up to 100 yards.
  • Be capable of being handcuffed and searched as a role player. They shall be handcuffed in a variety of positions (i.e., standing, kneeling, prone, walking backward on their knees). During training exercises, you will be provided with safety equipment provided by the government. 
  • Scenarios are conducted year-round and will take place during variable weather conditions.
