The Warehouse Dumpster Driver is responsible for transporting dumpsters to and from job sites and maintaining clean, organized disposal operations for a roofing company. This role involves the safe driving and operation of dumpster trucks, managing waste disposal processes, and assisting in various warehouse duties as needed. Strong attention to safety, time management, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate company trucks to transport dumpsters to job sites for waste collection and disposal.
Ensure timely delivery and pickup of dumpsters from roofing project locations.
Follow safe driving practices, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations.
Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure the dumpster truck is in good working condition.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck and dumpster equipment.
Assist with general warehouse duties when not driving, including helping load and unload materials, organizing supplies, and ensuring that the warehouse area is clean and efficient.
Help track waste management processes, reporting any issues with dumpster capacity or waste disposal.
Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed to move heavy materials and assist with inventory management.
Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with OSHA safety regulations.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Maintain clear communication with warehouse staff and project managers to ensure smooth coordination of dumpster services.
Report any issues with truck or equipment performance to the supervisor promptly.
Follow company processes and procedures.
Other warehouse duties as required
Requirements
Maintain a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) with no recent violations or accidents
Strong understanding of DOT regulations, local traffic laws, and weight/load limits
Ability to safely operate roll-off trucks and related hydraulic equipment
Consistent use of safety procedures, including proper load securement and tarping
Ability to lift, bend, and maneuver in various jobsite environments
Capable of hooking, securing, and operating dumpster systems in all weather conditions
