Roof Technician

Description

Position Summary:

• As a Roofing Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to roofing installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection. This hands-on position requires a strong understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and safety protocols. You will work closely with our team to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards of quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance projects according to specifications and industry standards.
• Assess roofing systems for damage, leaks, and other issues, and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
• Install and repair roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, metal panels, and membranes.
• Perform waterproofing and insulation tasks to ensure the integrity and durability of roofing systems.
• Operate hand and power tools, machinery, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate project activities and address any concerns.
• Complete project documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and material inventory records.

Pay: $22-$25/hr based on experience

Requirements

 Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Previous experience in roofing or construction is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with different roofing systems (e.g., asphalt shingles, metal roofing, tile roofing, flat roofs).
• Experience with tools and equipment used in roofing. 
• Proficient in installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to roofing. 
• Understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure safe working conditions. 
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.
