Roofing Helper

Reports to: Assigned Roofer / Crew Lead
Supervised by: Production Manager / Superintendent

Role purpose
Support the roofing crew with preparation, materials, tools, and cleanup while learning roofing skills and following safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily instructions from the assigned Roofer, Crew Lead, or Superintendent.


• Load, unload, carry, and organize roofing materials and equipment using approved methods.


• Prepare work areas and assist with roofing installation, repairs, and tear-off as directed.


• Keep materials and tools available so the crew can work efficiently.


• Protect landscaping, vehicles, walkways, and other customer property as directed.


• Collect debris, organize the work area, and assist with daily and final cleanup.


• Use required protective equipment and follow company safety procedures.


• Ask for guidance before performing unfamiliar tasks or using unfamiliar equipment.


• Report hazards, damaged tools, material shortages, and property damage promptly.


• Record work hours accurately and care for assigned company tools and equipment.
