Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Roofing Superintendent to lead and manage roofing operations on residential projects in the Memphis, TN area. This role requires a knowledgeable, hands-on leader capable of managing crews, ensuring safety and quality, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily roofing activities across job sites in the Memphis area
Manage labor schedules, materials, and equipment logistics
Provide and onboard new roofing crews to ensure company standards are met
Ensure work is performed according to project specifications, safety regulations, and building codes
Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and enforce safety/quality standards
Maintain accurate and timely project documentation, including daily logs, time sheets, and material records
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients as needed
Train and mentor crews on proper roofing techniques and safety practices
Troubleshoot and resolve job site issues proactively
Oversee completion of punch list items and ensure successful final inspections
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; trade certification or construction-related training preferred
Minimum 5 years of roofing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Full understanding of roofing systems, including but not limited to:
Roof decking and structural components (rafters, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, scopes of work, and technical drawings
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Basic computer proficiency (mobile apps, scheduling tools, digital reporting)
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be insurable under company policy.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to climb ladders and work at heights for prolonged periods
Work Environment:
Exposure to construction-related elements such as dust, fumes, and noise
Occasional work at heights or in confined spaces
Fast-paced, hands-on environment involving indoor and outdoor work
Interaction with tenants, property managers, and team members
Schedule:
Full-time position
Monday–Friday with occasional overtime or after-hours work as needed
