Room Attendant

AIM OF THE ROLE

To service guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas/corridors in accordance with laid down

procedures

Responsibilities

· To service guest bedrooms to correct high standard at all times

· To replace and restock all items provided for guest use within each room

· To carry out daily duties as directed by the Head Housekeepers and management

team

· To strip and make beds following trained procedure at all times

· Change mattress protector, blankets or bedspreads when needed

· Check under bed, drawers and closed for left behind articles and or trash

· Empty waste bins

· Wipe all window sills, doors, and walls when needed, as well as light switches

· To ensure that any torn or dirty linen is reported to the Head Housekeepers a

· To ensure that, when requested, public areas of the hotel are cleaned

· To ensure that cupboards on corridors are kept tidy at all times Vacuums every

room, spot clean when you see stains

· Dust all furniture and fixtures, including headboard, lamps and desk mirrors

· To follow enhanced procedures in times of pandemic/infectious diseases

· Report any maintenance issues, including burned out light bulbs

· Put stationary in place along with pens in desk

· Ensure cables behind TV neatly are tied up

· Empty and wash bins, clean bath, shower, basin, toilet and bidet. Wash floor and all

glasses

· Vacuum bedrooms and bathrooms

· To ensure that all dirty linen from the bedrooms is taken to the laundry on a regular

basis

· To always keep a smart appearance and wear your uniform correctly

· To work as part of a team in a constructive manner that enables Longueville Manor

to achieve the objective of being a market leader in the luxury hotel sector

· To ensure that good communication links are established within the housekeeping

department and other departments

· To attend staff meetings when requested

· To comply with all Hotel and Company policies

Requirements

Experience and knowledge

Previous domestic/ cleaning experience essential

Knowledge of COSSH desirable

Must have a basic command of English

OTHER To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time by the Management Team To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming To comply with all safety rules and procedures e.g. Health and Safety, Hygiene and Fire
