Position Overview


We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join the Housekeeping team at Hilton Garden Inn Dayton/Beavercreek. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and assigned areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for every guest.

Responsibilities



  • Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms in accordance with hotel and brand standards

  • Maintain a clean and fully stocked housekeeping cart at all times

  • Follow appropriate entry requirements for all guestrooms

  • Use only hotel-approved cleaning agents and follow proper handling procedures

  • Record room status on the assignment sheet and update codes by phone

  • Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance needs in guest rooms to the supervisor

  • Ensure all guest rooms are secured at all times

  • Keep chute rooms and linen rooms clean, neat, and secured

  • Follow the hotel's lost and found procedures

  • Sign in and sign out all assigned keys daily


Qualifications



  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members


  • Strong written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.



  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds individually; ability to assist in moving heavier loads with team support

  • Requires manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and supplies

  • Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and to identify guest belongings left behind

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with varying temperatures
