This role will require EPA Universal or Type I or II HVAC certification, rotating on-call availability, the ability to travel between our Florida communities with reliable transportation and effective verbal communication skills with residents and team members.
Venterra Roving Maintenance Technicians enjoy competitive hourly pay + a performance-based bonus of up to $600 per quarter.
The ideal candidate for this role must be able to work at our properties in the Orlando region and have the flexibility to travel on short notice to our neighboring Florida Communities. This position will primarily support theOrlando region but must have flexibility to travel to our Tampa, Daytona, and Jacksonville regions at times.
The Roving Maintenance Technician’s role requires a wide range of various maintenance needs to assist on-site maintenance teams in the day-to-day operations of their properties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance:
Electrical
Plumbing
HVAC
Appliance Repair
Locks & Keys
Basic Carpentry
Painting and Drywall Repair
Janitorial, Grounds
Requirements of the Position:
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
Excellent customer service skills are a must
Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field
On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays; Required as needed
Ability to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner
Reliable vehicle
Travel required
Our Roving Maintenance Technicians provide support to the Regional Maintenance Managers and the Maintenance Managers at the communities they are assigned to support while assuming a leadership role in their absence. They provide quality service to our residents, diagnose problems, and make repairs. They are responsible for routine and preventative maintenance repairs, as well as ensuring that Venterra's 48-Hour Service Guarantee is adhered to when completing service requests.
