Rug Cleaning Specialist

Description

The Rug Cleaning Specialist works directly with the area rug division manager performing tasks such as: rug identification, inspection, dusting, pre-treating, washing, fringe detail, specialty spotting techniques, quality control, driver/delivering rugs, and other services as requested by the customer. This individual must be an independent thinker and be eager to learn and master the skills and knowledge of rug construction, identification and cleaning.

Monday - Friday,  No weekends

Pay: $20.00 per hour + commissionExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:

Requirements

Accountabilities:

• Work with the area rug division manager performing services requested by our customers including but not limited to: area rug identification, inspections, price estimates, dusting, pre-treating, rug washing and extraction, customer service, preparing rugs for deliveries and more
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of rug identification and rug construction
• Develop an in-depth understanding of all the products and cleaning procedures utilized in the area rug division for both area rugs and textiles
• Perform specialty services such as fringe detail, stain and odor removal, dye stripping and basic repairs
• Assist in customer service and sales both in the shop and in the field
• Area rug pick-up and delivery
• An ongoing commitment to continuing education in cleaning and restoration of fine rugs and textiles
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a delivery driver with a clean driving record
