Position Summary
We are hiring full-time Russian-Speaking Content Moderators to join our team on-site in Sofia, Bulgaria.
In this role, you will analyze, monitor, and moderate user-submitted online content to keep digital platforms secure and welcoming for everyone. You will review text, imagery, and video materials against established safety standards and operational guidelines, taking swift action on non-compliant posts.
This position is 100% office-based in Sofia and operates on a 24/7 rotational shift framework. You do not need any previous moderation experience—we provide full, paid training from your very first day.
Primary Responsibilities
- Content Verification: Inspect user-submitted text, photos, and video assets to ensure full compliance with community policies and platform standard operating procedures.
- Guideline Enforcement: Apply moderation software to approve, reject, flag, or escalate user posts based on defined safety protocols.
- Platform Protection: Detect and handle policy breaches, including online scams, hate speech, spam, copyrighted media, and explicit images or text.
- System Logging: Track moderation decisions and document unusual content trends or system edge cases using internal reporting systems.
- Operational Readiness: Attend routine training workshops, policy refreshes, and quality calibration sessions to stay aligned with platform standards.
Candidate Qualifications
Work Authorization
- Legal Eligibility: You must hold valid legal documentation allowing you to work full-time in Bulgaria at the time you apply (EU/EEA citizenship, permanent residency, or an active Bulgarian work permit). Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Language Skills
- Russian: Fluent written and spoken command to accurately understand cultural nuances, context, and informal language in user content.
- English: Upper-Intermediate (B2 level minimum) written and spoken skills to navigate software interfaces, review training manuals, and interact with international team leads.
Workplace & Shift Requirements
- On-Site Attendance: Full physical presence at our Sofia office space. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not offered for this role.
- Rotational Schedule: Flexibility to work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day (40 hours total) across a 24/7 shift pattern. This roster includes rotating morning, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts.
Essential Aptitude
- Comfort with standard software tools, digital communications, and social platforms.
- A calm, objective mindset when handling sensitive or complex online media.
- Strong collaboration skills and resilience in a dynamic operational setting.
- Previous work experience in customer care, tech support, or moderation is welcome, but not required.
Salary & Compensation Details
- Base Pay: €1,350 Gross per month.
- Shift Premiums: Additional pay supplements provided for night hours, weekend shifts, and official national holiday work in compliance with Bulgarian labor laws.
