Job Description - RV Service Technician

As an Experienced RV Service Technician at Hilltop Camper & RV, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing customer-owned RVs and campers with a high level of skill and attention to detail. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the standard of excellence we’re known for, helping customers get back on the road with confidence.

We’re looking for an RV Service Technician who…

  • Has proven, hands-on experience in RV mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
  • Communicates professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Exudes a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Is comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in RVs and campers
  • Advise service writers and customers on recommended repairs
  • Perform repairs in accordance with company standards and manufacturer guidelines
  • Accurately document repairs, including detailed notes and before-and-after photos
  • Complete thorough repair orders with clear explanations of cause and correction
  • Stay current on RV systems and industry updates
  • Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely and accurate parts procurement
  • Tag and store warranty parts for claim processing
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook

Education & Experience:

  • Previous RV service technician experience is required
  • Industry certifications (RVIA/RVDA) are a plus, but not required

Tools & Equipment:

  • Must have or be willing to acquire the tools and equipment necessary to perform job duties effectively
