Safe School Officer (Certified)

We are seeking a highly qualified and committed Certified Safe School Officer to join our security team in Cary, North Carolina. This role is essential to ensuring the physical, emotional, and structural safety of students, teachers, and school staff through proactive implementation of security protocols and emergency response procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce school security protocols.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and critical incidents.
• Conduct preventative patrols on and around school grounds.
• Build positive relationships with students, faculty, and the school community.
• Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain operational documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of combined experience in military service, law enforcement, security, corrections, or emergency response.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods both indoors and outdoors.

Skills and Competencies:

• Advanced tactical and firearms training.
• Intermediate knowledge of emergency response protocols.
• Proficiency with incident reporting and documentation tools.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to lead in crisis situations.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid HR218 certification.
• Current North Carolina Armed Guard Card.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation.
• Must own a firearm, Level 3 retention duty holster, duty belt, and five magazines.
