Intervenes with children, families, and schools to enhance the opportunities for school success and positive life outcomes. Requirements

About the Role

Provides individual, family, group and classroom services for identified children that are deemed to be at high risk of substance abuse and other at-risk behaviors (including school failure). Works in collaboration with school staff, SafeNet students and their support systems in order to enhance protective factors, decrease risk factors and improve school success. 

We strive to continually improve the access to and the quality of care for our clients, so your supervisor may assign you to complete other tasks.

We use practice models suitable for our job that are evidence based or best practice to support our staff’s daily functions, models of treatment, strength-based initiatives and quality outcomes. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field
• Must be or working toward becoming a Child Mental Health Professional as defined by Michigan Department of Community Health and a Certified Prevention Specialist. Expectation is that staff will obtain their Certified Prevention Specialist Certification within two years of initial date of hire.
• Valid Michigan’s driver’s license.
• Ability to be certified in First Aid and CPR within 90 days of hire (agency available training)
• Ability to successfully navigate a computer system with minimal support.

Work Environment:

CWN prioritizes work and life balance. Your supervisor will work with you to utilize flex time and paid time off. You will primarily work in the office with the following schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Between 8:00am and 5:00pm

You may be required to work hours outside of the regular schedule if assigned by your supervisor to meet clients’ needs.

Light travel (<5% of time) may be required for job-related assignments, training or presentations.
