SMG seeks a Safety Advisor - LOTO in Lebanon, Indiana.

The primary role of a Safety Advisor is to prioritize safety in their work, address clients' needs, collaborate effectively in a team, manage themselves independently, and adapt to changes when necessary.

Overview of Job Responsibilities

• Conduct field reviews and verifications at the corporate and technology center.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and complete Equipment Specific Instructions (ESI) reviews.
• Perform detailed evaluations through field verifications, which include assessing the magnitude, energy types, and isolation points.
• Update the system and ensure all data entries are accurate.
• Provide logistical support and coordination for contractors.

Requirements

• Degree in Safety or a related field
• 7 years of experience in Construction Safety experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in electrical safety
• Significant experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course
• Certification in First Aid/CPR

Physical Demands of the job may include

• Moving about long distances
• Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
• Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
• Working in extreme weather
• Being exposed to loud noises
• Wearing personal protective gear correctly
