Safety Coordinator

Reports To (Supervisor/Hiring Manager Title): Safety Manager

Onsite 100%

Position Overview/Job Description: This role is to maintain compliance of drivers and equipment for the company and serve as a central support to advise drivers on practices and procedures.

Responsibilities:

· Review CSA, HOS, and driving record compliance for drivers

· Daily review of roadside inspections and violations per FMSCA

· Review driver files

· Advise on policy and procedural changes

· Train and coach drivers on HOS and regulations

· Analyze and report severe violations

· Confirm correction plan with management and agents

· Assign classes for remedial training

· Build and maintain relationships with drivers through weekly communications

· Understand functions of ELD and dashcam systems and provide coaching, as needed

· Track, process, and modify logs within the ELD and on paper, as needed

· Intake, provide documentation, and follow up on asset post accidents

· Enter company equipment into relevant systems

· Prepare O/O leases

· Obtain plate documents and place orders as needed

· Complete terminations of equipment

· Send reports to necessary parties to maintain compliance

· Manage rental units as needed

· Data entry for mileage

· Maintain and monitor fuel purchases

· Monitor and review DVIRs

· Other duties assigned

Qualifications: 

· Previous experience in a safety coordinator or similar role preferred.

· Strength in verbal and written communication

· Strong attention to detail

· Strength in data entry

· Efficient digital skills including but not limited to Microsoft and digital filing

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Education Requirements: High School Diploma required. Higher education is preferred. 

Salary/Hourly Rate: Depending on experience.
