Safety Coordinator- Granite City, IL

Dynamic Transit is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to support our fleet operations transporting freight across the lower 48 states. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations while promoting a strong company-wide “Safety First” culture. The ideal candidate understands that safety is not just a requirement — it is a core operational priority that protects our drivers, customers, and company. 

Pay is based on experience.

Position is on-site only: Granite City, IL

Position Responsibilities:

• Promote and support a positive safety culture throughout the company


• Monitor and maintain compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations for fleet operations


• Review, document, and follow up on accidents and incidents involving company equipment for insurance claims, reporting, and collection purposes


• Coordinate accident-related documentation and communication with drivers, insurance representatives, and internal departments


• Assist in maintaining safety compliance records


• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism


• Complete additional safety-related duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and transportation safety compliance


• Must be safety-minded and committed to leading and supporting a “Safety First” culture


• Transportation or trucking industry experience is required


• Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general computer skills


• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively


• Strong written and verbal communication skills
