Position will work closely with site management in RD\u0026E and other EHS staff to drive environmental, safety and health programs, ensure regulatory compliance and promote continuous improvement.\n * Ensures proper investigations of accident / incidents conducted for EH\u0026S events and drives corrective actions. \n * Act as liaison with regulatory authorities for safety requirements.\n * Track and trend EH\u0026S related legislation and take appropriate action to comply with requirements. Communicates EH\u0026S issues to all necessary management and employees. Generates necessary reports and documentation. Lead the investigation into accidents and provide feedback to relevant parties for corrective action.\n * Review and report EH\u0026S progress and performance for assigned site/function.\n * Ensures compliance with required codes, standards, and regulations. Manage metrics and reporting.\n * Oversee accident / incident investigations and analyze pertinent data. Documents results.\n * Performs a wide range of health and safety compliance duties including equipment and facility permitting, compliance auditing, management of change and chemical authorization approvals, record keeping and reporting, liaison with the local authorities.\n * Ensure environmental, health and safety programs and management systems are in place and effective to minimize the risks to employees, the environment and the community. Some of the Key Environmental, Health and Safety programs for the site include:\n * New chemical review\n * Management of Change (MoC)\n * Review of abatement systems\n * Hazard Communication\n * Powered Industrial Trucks\n * Lockout/Tagout\n * Control of Hazardous Energies\n * Confined Space\n * Working at Heights\n * Accident/Incident Investigation\n * Design Review for tool installation\n * Code Review: Fire and Building\n\n\n * Ensures compliance with required environmental, health and safety, fire code and building codes, standards and regulations. Act as a liaison with local, regional or federal regulatory authorities.\n * Ensure proper investigations of environmental, health and safety incidents conducted for EH\u0026S events and drive corrective actions to closure.\n * Review and report environmental, health and safety progress and performance for assigned site/function based on established EH\u0026S metrics to site management.\n * Ensures that specific projects assigned are completed as planned to meet EH\u0026S goals. Provides management with updates and escalation on projects/programs. Maintain communication channel with site/location functions.\n * Interfaces with internal and external customers regarding environmental, health and safety issues\n * Provide technical guidance on environmental, health and safety issues to the site manufacturing and engineering organizations and contribute to the development of site-wide EH\u0026S standards and procedures.\n * Participate in the emergency response team and may involve after-hour response.\n * Develops and conducts employee EH\u0026S training.\n * Familiar with Benchmark Gensuite or similar safety reporting systems for incident management, site compliance and regulatory tracking.\n * Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required. \n\n\n\nOther Requirements: \n\nThis position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
