Safety Manager

We’re Looking For A: Safety Manager

Location: Richfield, WI

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide technical and regulatory expertise based on knowledge of OSHA, DOT, NFPA and other pertinent regulations to assist staff and local workforce in the solution of safety and security issues


• Conduct all necessary safety training for the facility on a regular and ongoing basis


• Lead and manage the onsite Ammonia PSM program to OSHA compliance


• Active involvement in the facility’s Workers’ Compensation Program by engagement in meetings, providing documentation for claims in litigation and assist the Occ Health Nurse/Third Party Administration in effectively managing all open claims


• Serve as a resources/consultant to staff and field management regarding the development of new capital projects to ensure that safety and security standards are met


• Coordinate and conduct various internal auditing processes to ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory standards, policies and procedures


• Actively pursue new methods and techniques to improve safety within facility


• Work with site leadership to identify high risk processes or equipment that needs to be improved or replaced

Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

• High school diploma or GED equivalent


• 7+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment


• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Business Management, or related field (preferred)


• Knowledge of food processing (preferred)


• Knowledge of PSM programs, specifically for Ammonia Refrigeration systems (preferred)
