Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and support safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, DOT).
- Maintain and update safety procedure manuals and ensure alignment with current construction and industry standards.
- Promote and lead a proactive safety culture across job sites.
- Educate and train team members on safe work practices.
- Analyze accident reports and develop corrective measures.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure PPE compliance and overall safety adherence.
- Participate in OSHA inspections and handle related procedures and documentation.
- Lead training sessions on safe work procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety leadership role within construction or MEP.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, and Workers’ Comp regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 30 certification (OSHA 500 preferred).
- Must meet critical deadlines and adhere to all company policies.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background checks (e.g., DMV, criminal history).
- Must be available to work assigned schedules and relocate to Richmond, VA if needed.
