Safety Manager

Duties
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions and coach for better performance
- Train drivers and employees on safety protocols and procedures, including emergency response plans
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures
- Maintain safety records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to workplace safety

Skills

- Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation safety
- Excellent data interpretation and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presenting safety information
- Coaching ability to ensure stakeholder buy in
- Being proactive and recommending new processes and technology to better safety scores

Pay: $79,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
