Our client in the Troy, MI area is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join their team!
•Manage all commercial and basic technical aspects of assigned OEM and related Tier 1 customers, including new business development, customer presentations, developing and presenting commercial proposals, pricing and contractual issues, and technical issues during the acquisition phase and the entire product life time.
•Assure adequate and timely communication with customers and other relevant stakeholders, including internal customers.
•Assure that all relevant customer, legal and company requirements and procedures are effectively met. Focus on exceeding the defined financial, quality and other performance targets.
Responsibilities for Sales Account Manager:
•Responsible for all commercial issues with assigned customers.
•Secure continuous growth for company in North America, according to annual business plan.
•Acquire new business opportunities (incl. new OEM).
•Initiate, conduct and execute quotation process, and manage all pricing and contractual issues with the customer(s).
•Responsible for pricing targets and revenue targets per given direction.
•Assure compliance with Quality Policy & Guidelines.
•Assure compliance with Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and the USA safety and environmental health manual.
•Assure all relevant Legal, Customer and Group requirements for area of responsibility are met.
•Implement and execute Business Plan in area of responsibility based on assigned yearly targets.
•Focus personally on continuous improvement.
•Meet all reporting requirements within the Group and North America.
•Develop and execute financial budgets for the assigned area (if applicable).
•Constant contact with the relevant central functions of the Group.
•Maintain appropriate records and files, preferably electronically.
•Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the area of responsibility.
Job Description for Sales Account Manager:
•Coaches and supports coworkers in all aspects.
•Meeting participation according to company’s Communication System.
•Maintain detailed actions plans to achieve assigned yearly targets.
•Participate in development projects according to PEP.
•Built excellent relationships with OEM and related Tier 1 customers on different levels and all relevant functional areas (Design, Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing, etc.).
•Presents on a regular basis the product range at customers.
•Constantly monitors customer developments and trends in search of new applications for products and market trends.
•Initiates the creation of quotes for new business and changes to existing business with the Offer Team, and in conjunction with the Director Sales, Americas.
•Delivers and explains quotations at the customer.
•Facilitates the decision process at the customer and negotiate conditions.
•Assures that all necessary contractual documents are in place.
•Invoicing of tooling and monitor tooling payments.
•Constantly monitor fulfillment of contractual obligations during series production and renegotiate conditions if necessary.
•Develop 3 year sales forecast annually and sales forecasts upon request in conjunction with Director Sales, Americas.
•Visit customers in person regularly, including Engineering, Design (Studio), Purchasing, and other, also in foreign countries.
Technical Skills for Sales Account Manager:
•Bachelor degree in Business Administration with focus on Sales & Marketing, and/or Engineering, or equivalent.
•3 -5 years of sales and/or project engineering experience in the automotive industry.
•Ability to participate in, and follow technical discussions (internal and at customer)
•Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point); add. knowledge in SAP sales related modules preferred.
•German and/or Spanish knowledge highly preferred.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (US, Europe, Latin America).
