Job Description - Sales Administrator-Key Accounts





Description

The Sales Administrator-Key Accounts prepares sales reports, and customer contracts, manages the department calendar and document library, and provides administrative support to Key Account Managers and sales leadership.

Compensation Data: Non-exempt hourly pay starting at $25.00/hr., based on experience. 

Location: Remote - MUST live in the Pacific Time Zone

Schedule: M-F, 7:30am-4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

1. Creates detailed reports from sales data stored in financial and sales systems. Utilizes established database queries to generate and transfer information to be further analyzed in spreadsheet format using pivot tables.

2. Prepares the annual key account customer contract itemizing the previous year’s actual and current year sales forecast, including volume, price and margin by product. Updates throughout the year to reflect changes to plan.

3. Prepare documents (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) that illustrate the Key Account Managers’ strategies to expand product lines or customer base.

4. Creates sales presentations and assists with delivery of specific account proposals that may include product offerings, pricing, special programs, co-op accruals and rebates.

5. Schedules and coordinates meetings, interviews, events, and other similar activities.

6. Serves as department librarian, updating, managing and storing documents.

7. Manages department calendar of events, travel schedules, PTO and activities.

8. Assists the Customer Account Representative with purchase order maintenance, investigating and resolving atypical issues.

9. Communicates Key Account activities to stakeholders and provides effective follow-up, promptly resolving issues.

10. Attend sales meetings and company exhibitions to stay up to date on key account activities and provide administrative support as needed.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will need to succeed:

Education & Qualifications:

· A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred.

· A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in customer service or inside sales.

· A knowledge of product lines and industry experience (Hydro, Grower, Lawn & Garden) preferred.

Competencies:

· Experience in a wholesale distribution business to business environment is helpful.

· Critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and recommend effective solutions.

· Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

· Good listening and communication skills.

· Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel capability.

· Experience with sales management systems and tools.
