Job Description - Sales and Business Development Professional

Alleima USA LLC, Strip Division is seeking a Sales and Business Development Professional for their Americas Region:

The Job responsibilities are:

  • Execute the entire sales process for strip and steel technology applications and products within the Strip Products portfolio.   

  • Pursue sales leads; visit existing and new customers of strategic importance to the organization; assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services; including the advanced steels and alloys engineered for complex applications across manufacturing industries.

  • Respond to technical and complex customer enquiries; identify and recommend strip steel and special alloy products fit for customers’ purpose and application, negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.

  • Provide technical information and presentations to explain and demonstrate Alleima strip and steel technology products and services, as well as available customizations and applications.

  • Perform opportunity analysis by customer and site to assess customers’ total potential with Alleima strip and steel technology products and develop business sales plans customized to the client’s business and applications.

  • Maintain close communication with Strip steel Division production, engineering teams, and product line managers to assess equipment needs, determine customer-specific requirements, and support customer-facing sales activities.

  • Work with customers to market full strip products portfolio for various applications, including consumer products and those related to industrial, medical, transportation, and renewable energy applications.

  • Collect and communicate relevant business and market intelligence to sales and product management through the use of applicable systems.

  • Generate new sales opportunities to increase Alleima’s presence and footprint in the region through the sale of advanced stainless compressor valve steels, medical strip steel, and other special metal alloys and stainless steel products.

  • Anticipate and understand customer needs and match with our advanced steel product offering to maximize customer value and sales profit.

  • Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule sales activities so targets are met.

Job Requirements

  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sales Coordinator or Sales Engineer.

  • The three (3) years of experience must have included the sales and marketing of precision strip products for various applications, including pursuit of sales leads, technical presentations, product recommendations, advising customers regarding fitness for purpose, price negotiation, and evaluation of new sales opportunities for precision steel and strip products and applications

  • Up to 35% domestic, and up to 15% international, travel required.
