Position Statement:
The sales and event coordinator in collaboration with the Director of Sales is responsible for assisting with planning and arranging all aspects of the guest’s events and experiences for the resort.
Position Summary:
Client Relationships:
• Schedule and organize client site inspections to showcase our hotel's facilities and services.
• Act as a liaison between clients and relevant hotel departments during site visits.
• Address and fulfill special requests from travel agencies in collaboration with the sales team.
• Ensure travel agencies have accurate and up-to-date information about the hotel's offerings.
• Communicate contract details, special rates, and agreements to various hotel departments.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure seamless implementation of agreed-upon terms.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to gauge interest and address inquiries.
• Provide timely and accurate quotations as per client requirements.
Systems:
• Input and maintain leads, client information, and event details in the Agilysys system.
• Ensure data accuracy and completeness for effective tracking.
• Generate and distribute weekly reports detailing booking status, potential leads, and sales performance.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify areas for improvement.
Guest Satisfaction:
• Monitor and respond to online guest reviews on various platforms.
• Address concerns, express gratitude for positive feedback, and ensure a positive online presence.
Corporate Outreach:
• Conduct proactive outreach to corporate clients to identify new opportunities and maintain relationships.
• Provide personalized service to key accounts and address their specific needs.
Private Events:
• Collaborate with the events team to ensure smooth execution of planned events.
• Assist in coordinating logistics, communicating client requirements, and resolving on-site issues.
Additional Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and improvement of sales processes.
Assist in ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of Sales.
Have sound knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the property.
Work all shifts as scheduled/required.
Always comply with Goldwynn standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Perform any reasonable duties as required.
To carry out any reasonable tasks requested by the Director of Sales or any member of senior leadership.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree required or the equivalent
● A minimum of one years’ experience in sales and event planning role preferably in a hotel or resort.
● Experience in customer service-related field preferred.
● Amazing interpersonal abilities.
● Top-of-the-line planning and organizational skills.
● Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
● Ability to make informed decisions.
● Ability to be comfortable with public speaking.
● People skills and the ability to network.

● Goldwynn operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, you will be scheduled to work shifts, which may change from time to time.
