Job Description - Sales & Operations Manager




Our Client, a leading company in the Mining industry is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager – Sales & Operations to oversee, manage, and support sales and operational activities across various branches. The role focuses on driving sales performance, improving operational efficiency, leading teams, and ensuring effective execution of business strategies, particularly in remote and rural environments. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple priorities while supporting regional growth.







Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and manage sales and operational activities across multiple branches to ensure smooth and efficient performance.

  • Lead, motivate, and support teams to achieve business objectives and meet sales targets.

  • Develop and execute effective strategies to drive sales growth and operational excellence.

  • Manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and ensure timely completion of operational and sales activities.

  • Travel regularly to branch locations, including extremely rural areas, to provide support and oversight.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

  • Analyse performance data, forecast trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance performance.

  • Support budgeting, cost management, and financial monitoring activities.

  • Address operational challenges and resolve complex issues through effective problem-solving.

  • Apply strong sales and negotiation skills to support business development and revenue growth.

  • Communicate effectively with teams, clients, and senior management through clear verbal and written communication.


Requirements



  • At least 5–7 years of sales experience.

  • At least 3–5 years of proven experience in a leadership or management role.

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills.

  • Extraverted, proactive, punctual, and efficient personality.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.

  • Flexibility to work in remote and rural environments with limited amenities.

  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Good understanding of sales processes and negotiation techniques.

  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.

  • Financial acumen including budgeting and cost awareness.

  • Willingness to travel weekly.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
