Performs other related duties.\n\nGeneral Duties: \nDuties include, but are not limited to, the following: \n\u2022 Driving: Frequent \n\u2022 Travel: Moderate \n\u2022 Install and maintain inside wire for residential/business broadband (HSI/Video) service \n\u2022 Install an array of networking equipment, including Fiber to the House, ONT, Wireless routers, Modems, and Gateways. \n\u2022 Install all wiring, and equipment as required for broadband continuity, digital subscriber carriers and associated broadband equipment, such as DSLAMS (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplier), Residential Gateways, and HSI (High-Speed Interface), and business class routers \n\u2022 Performs all types of cable construction and maintenance work associated with all network facilities; including repairs on conduit and manholes, cross-connections to switching equipment, removing and replacing line cards in central office/pair gain units \n\u2022 Read and understand service orders and trouble tickets, outside plant drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical schematics \n\u2022 Perform maintenance repair and preventable maintenance on buried, aerial and underground cable/fiber using various plant elements \n\u2022 Performs Aerial work that requires work to be performed from pole climbing, ladder, and bucket trucks. Possible add \n\u2022 Place aerial and buried plant and service drops \n\u2022 Navigate web, set up Business/Residential computers and demonstrate to customers \n\u2022 Support and actively participate in the promotion of Company products and services \n\u2022 Must be able to adapt to changes in the business that include advances in technology and new skills and procedures \n\u2022 Aids/assists other departments and contractors as required; be self-motivated; mentor co-workers; follow through on assignments in a timely manner\n\nQualifications: \n\u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent \n\u2022 Experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance \n\u2022 Basic keyboard and software skills \n\u2022 Must complete pole climbing certification, for which an individual cannot exceed 275 lbs.; fully clothed and with proper footwear \n\u2022 Must complete company provided training and demonstrate ability to complete full installs \n\u2022 Ability to work independently and desire to work \u0027face-to-face\u0027 with customer \n\u2022 Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and in isolated or confined spaces \n\u2022 Valid driver\u0027s license and satisfactory driving record; CDL preferred \n\u2022 Must be available for flexible scheduling, holidays, after hours and call-outs \n\u2022 TESTS: Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy\n\nPhysical Requirements: \nClimbing poles and ladders; frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds; pushing, reaching, bending and stooping; manual dexterity; good sense of balance; ability to sit or stand for long periods and good color vision.\n\nTools and Equipment Used: \n\u2022 Cable Locator \n\u2022 Hand Tools \n\u2022 Hand Held Terminal \n\u2022 Various Test Equipment \n\u2022 4 Tel Test System \n\u2022 Laptop Computer \n\u2022 Splicing Equipment \n\u2022 Fiber Optic Testing Equipment\n\n \n\nWe are deeply committed to attracting talented team members in the US from all backgrounds regardless of race, age, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability status, or nationality.
