Sales \u0026 Service Technician II - Fiber \n\nJob ID: SALES013929 \nJob Title: Sales \u0026 Service Technician II - Fiber \nLocation: 25 E WALL STREET, SULLIVAN, IN 47882 \nUnion: IBEW 0723 - CBA 023 \nHiring Manager: Dan Dix \n# of Openings: 2 \nPosting Dates: 3/31/26-4/7/26 \nWage Range: $21.36 - $36.53 per hour\n\nSummary: \nResponsible for tasks assigned by the Company in connection with service order and repair activity on fiber network facilities between and including the customer-serving terminal and into the customer\u0027s premise, as well as installation activity at the fiber hub. These tasks may include, but not be limited to, installation and maintenance of voice, data, and video equipment and/or service at the customer premise. Provides revenue enhancing offers to the customer. Performs other duties as required. \n\nGeneral Duties: \nDuties include, but are not limited to, the following: \n\u2022 Installs, removes, rearranges, programs, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains fiber network services. \n\u2022 Interacts with ATS (Advanced Technical Support) as needed. May install appropriate inside wire/cable (such as Cat 6E, Coaxial cable). \n\u2022 Installs, maintains, and repairs outside and inside fiber equipment/facilities including inside wiring and fiber jumpers at the distribution hub. Activates the ONT. \n\u2022 Responds to inquiries and provides follow-up. \n\u2022 Interprets schematic work order drawings to determine job specifications and installation needs. Orders and/or obtains required equipment. Effects problem solving where appropriate. \n\u2022 Utilizes various test equipment to analyze equipment trouble and takes appropriate maintenance action. \n\u2022 May be required to perform other duties of the Sales \u0026 Service II classification. \n\u2022 May be required to aid/assist other departments and contractors as required. \n\u2022 May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.\n\nQualifications: \n\u2022 High School Diploma or Equivalent \n\u2022 Valid driver\u0027s license and satisfactory driving record; CDL preferred. \n\u2022 Ability to operate applicable test equipment. \n\u2022 Basic keyboard and software skills \n\u2022 Wears appropriate safety apparel and is aware of and follows all established safety practices and procedures. \n\u2022 Ability to recommend and refer voice, data and video products/services. \n\u2022 Not restricted to daylight hours. May require more specialized drivers\u0027 license based on State Laws and Regulations. \n\u2022 Must be available to work tours as scheduled including nights, weekends, and holidays and for callouts and/or overtime as required. \n\u2022 Where pole climbing is required, must complete pole climbing certification, for which an individual cannot exceed 275 lbs., fully clothed and with proper footwear. \n\u2022 TESTS: Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy\n\nPhysical Requirements: \n\u2022 Climbing poles and ladders; frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds; pushing, reaching, bending, and stooping; manual dexterity; good sense of balance; ability to sit or stand for long periods and ability to work in confined spaces. \n\u2022 Ability to distinguish audible tones/levels and good color vision. \n\u2022 Ability to work under stress.\n\n \n\n \nWe are deeply committed to attracting talented team members in the US from all backgrounds regardless of race, age, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability status, or nationality.
