Job Description - Sales & Use Tax Solutions Executive

The Role:


The Sales & Use Tax (SUT) Solutions Sales Executive is responsible for the achievement of sales and client goals (i.e., building pipeline and achieving sales quotas) in the U.S. and will be remote, working from home. The successful candidate will be primarily a hunter, traveling for face-to-face presentations with clients and prospects. This role will be leading and managing complex solution sales. The candidate will have Enterprise full cycle sales experience, preferable in SUT audit services. 

The Work:

  • Direct selling of SUT recovery/reverse audit services to sales & use tax management.
  • Identifies potential opportunities within existing customer base, collaborate with internal APEX customer stakeholder groups and implement plans to secure their business (farms).
  • Identifies potential new customers and implements plan to secure their business (hunts).
  • Lead and manage complex solution sales.
  • Develop and execute field level marketing plans.
  • Prepares RFP responses as required.
  • Develops and maintains sales forecasts on anticipated sales.
  • Submits reports of sales activity and maintains records.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist in promoting sales.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.
  • Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices.
  • Promotes satisfactory customer relations.
  • Works closely with company personnel to ensure prompt service to customers.
  • Keeps informed on company contract procedures and pricing.

The Must-Haves

  • Five or more years selling sales & use tax technologies and services to sales & use tax leaders in Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Experience selling SUT reverse/recovery audits a plus.
  • Traveling to customers and prospect for F2F presentations.
  • Knowledge and experience with sales enablers such as Salesforce.com and consultative solution sales methodologies.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, including Powerpoint
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) required

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • This position requires extensive travel throughout the region.
