Sales Assistant

2023 is going to be an exciting year for us. With the range of new events we have scheduled, we have 3 new sales assistant positions here in Tampa.
We are looking for individuals who can attract attention, engage in conversations, connect with different types of people, read body language and achieve sales targets.
Sales and customer service training is provided for everyone here regardless of their level of experience, so don’t worry if you’ve never worked in a sales role before - you won’t be alone! Everyone needs to start somewhere and we’re happy to welcome career starters and career changers!
Location: Tampa FL 33634
Start Date: ASAP/ Flexible
Hours: Full-time availability is preferred, but we may consider part-time initially with a view to moving into full-time.
Earnings: $15 per hour + bonuses
Sales Assistant Duties:
- help with the planning, organization, and setup of retail-based events
- attract the attention of members of the public to engage in conversation
- break the ice and build relationships with people on the spot
- work with the events team to maximize customer engagement
- help increase brand awareness and brand recognition for our clients
- address customer’s questions and concerns professionally
- help to close sales/consolidate donations and collect banking information from customers using a digital device (no cash donations taken!)
- distribute promotional marketing materials and contact information
- other miscellaneous tasks as required to host successful events
Requirements: 18+ years old and legally able to work in the USA
In addition to being 18+ and able to start within 2 weeks, it can be helpful to have:
- Experience working in a sales, customer service, promotions, or retail position where you were dealing with customers in a fast-paced environment can be beneficial since you’ll have some great transferable skills!
- A positive attitude, winning mindset, and ability to see failure as part of the learning process are helpful because you’ll see better results this way.
- An outgoing personality and/or the ability to make small talk and strike up conversations with people since you’ll be speaking with a variety of customers throughout the day
- A student mentality where you’re striving to improve and are eager to learn new skills or techniques to assist you
- Leadership abilities and the ability to work well independently or as a productive part of a team
