Sales Assistant - La Mirada, CA

Hadco Metal Trading Co., LLC, a growth-focused metal distribution company. We proudly serve a wide range of industries. Our customers include OEMs, fabricators, machine shops, and contractors who rely on us for consistent supply, competitive pricing, and responsive service. 

We are currently seeking a Sales Assistant to wok full-time, on-site in our La Mirada, CA office supporting our La Mirada branch office in administrative sales functions, providing assistance to inside and outside sales representatives.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter sales orders from customers and/or from sales representatives into company ERP system
• Proofread and review order entry for accuracy
• Follow up on open issues associated with sales orders
• Maintain contract ship dates and order changes
• Create part numbers as required
• Regularly advise sales representatives of the timely order process and shipment to customers
• Assist sales in obtaining quotes from vendors
• Provide order updates to customers in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, detail oriented and time management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
• PC literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); ERP/CRM experience is a plus
• Basic math skills, including decimals and fractions
• Ability to read and write in English
• Possess a strong professional work ethic

Preferred

• 1+ years of customer service experience
• Ability to learn technical product information
• High school diploma or GED, some college preferred
