Job Description - Sales Associate

Responsibilities:



  • Be conscious that business is built on customer satisfaction and be willing to commit themselves to
    guarantee satisfaction to customers.

  • Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.

  • Demonstrate new and used vehicles (includes test drives).

  • Deliver new and used vehicles to customers. This process intends to ensure that the customer
    understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork.

  • Attend sales meetings.

  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business that
    contributes to customer satisfaction.

  • Stay informed of new industry products, features, accessories, and their advantages.

  • Set personal income goals that align with dealership standards and how to achieve them.

  • Report to the General Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, and reviews.

  • Strategize and analyze to determine how to use time more effectively.

  • Understand the technical terminology and technological changes in the automotive industry.


Qualifications:



  • Pass all required testing to become a certified salesperson.

  • Comprehend the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail auto sales.

  • Have the ability to make proper introductions to customers and service department personnel. Assist the customer in showcasing the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s service operations.

  • Fulfill sales, customer service, and job performance as indicated in the Sales Performance Checklist.

  • Be legally and technically conscious to operate company and customer-owned vehicles.

  • Must be insurable by the company.

  • Can follow company safety policies and practices. Any accidents or damage must be reported immediately to a Manager/Supervisor.

  • High school diploma or the equivalent. 

  • Capacity to read and comprehend instructions and information.

  • IL license and have an acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
