Home Surplus is a growing warehouse superstore that sells cabinets, doors, countertops, and more. We offer high-quality, in-stock products, expert design help, and great customer service, all at affordable prices.

We've been in business for over 60 years and have five stores across New Jersey and Maryland. We're growing fast, and our goal is to be the first choice for homeowners and contractors.

The Role
Are you an experienced salesperson who loves helping people? As a Sales Associate at our Keyport store, you'll help customers find the right products and give them an excellent experience from start to finish. It's a great opportunity to grow your sales career, with room to move into design or management.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers, help them find what they need, and answer their questions


• Learn our products, including cabinets, doors, and countertops


• Listen to customers' needs and recommend the best solutions


• Follow up with customers by phone, text, and email


• Make sure orders are accurate and work with the team to fulfill them


• Keep the showroom looking great by organizing displays


• Share customer feedback to help us improve


• Work as a team to give every customer a great experience

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of sales experience


• Customer service experience


• Computer skills, including email and basic data entry


• Point-of-sale (POS) system experience preferred


• Available to work some Saturdays (retail hours)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Standing and walking for long periods


• Talking with customers in person, by phone, and by email or video


• Typing to enter orders and customer details


• Working in a retail showroom and warehouse setting

Pay: $19–$20 per hour
