As a Sales Consultant at RYAN, you will be the trusted advisor to our clients, responsible for understanding their diverse needs and presenting tailored solutions from our full spectrum of services. Your responsibilities will include:
Meeting with clients in person and via phone/email to assess their entire outdoor environment, including trees, lawns, plants, and existing landscape features.
Diagnosing plant health issues, identifying pest concerns, evaluating turf conditions, and understanding irrigation needs.
Developing comprehensive and compelling care plans and landscape proposals that integrate RYAN’s Turf, Pest Control, Plant Health Care, Pruning, Irrigation, and Landscaping services to meet client goals for health, aesthetics, and functionality.
Leveraging your expertise and community connections to identify new business opportunities across all of RYAN’s service lines.
Staying current with industry best practices in arboriculture, turf management, pest control, plant health, irrigation, and landscaping.
Representing RYAN at local events and community activities to promote our full range of services and generate leads.
Collaborating closely with our specialized service teams (Turf Care, Pest Control, Plant Health Care, Pruning, Irrigation, and Landscaping) to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional client satisfaction.
Continuously seeking opportunities to enhance the RYAN brand through outstanding client service and professional development across all service areas.
Requirements
Minimum of 1-3 years in a client-facing role within the green industry, with exposure to one or more of the following: arboriculture, turf care, pest control, plant health, irrigation, or landscaping. Experience in high-end residential services is highly valued.
A strong foundational understanding of plant health principles, common landscape pests and diseases, basic turf care concepts, and irrigation fundamentals. Specific expertise in arboriculture is a significant plus. ISA certification or a degree in a related field (arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, landscape design, etc.) is beneficial.
Proven ability to understand client needs, effectively present solutions encompassing multiple service lines, and close projects while meeting or exceeding targets. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills are essential.
A genuine passion for helping clients achieve healthy, beautiful, and functional outdoor environments and a dedication to delivering exceptional service across all their needs.
The ability to work effectively with diverse production teams and internal departments to ensure cohesive and successful project outcomes.
Comfortable using CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and Google Suite.
Active involvement in local professional or community groups is a plus.

We offer a full-time, year-round career opportunity with a base salary of $50,000 to $60,000 per year, plus a commission structure that rewards high performance .
