Job Description - Sales Consultant

Responsibilities:

Meet or exceed sales goals by developing and executing a sales plan that targets new customers and maintains relationships with existing customers

Conduct in-home consultations with customers to determine their window covering needs and provide expert recommendations

Utilize digital tools and software to generate leads, manage customer data and monitor sales performance

Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our product offerings, pricing, and promotions

Work collaboratively with the installation team to ensure a seamless customer experience from sale to installation

Attend trade shows and community events to network and promote our brand

Offer exceptional customer service and expert design advice

Accurately measure windows and place orders for products

Respond to emails and phone calls promptly

Follow up on all leads and pending sales to closure

Stay current on Window Treatment trends and product changes

Participate in monthly sales meetings and periodic trainings

Requirements:

Proven sales experience in a retail, home improvement or related industry

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome objections

Familiarity with digital tools and software, such as CRM systems and lead generation platforms

Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Must be able to climb stairs and lift 20lbs

Measure overhead and while on a 6-foot ladder

Nice to have

Experience with window coverings including drapery is helpful

Previous experience with invoicing is helpful

Experience with a CRM strongly preferred
