M.S. Rau is looking for a Sales Coordinator and Education Lead who will support the Sales assisting them in their day-to-day responsibilities and increasing the effectiveness of the overall sales team by creating and implementing process improvements. This position will also educate the Sales Consultants on selected items to increase their knowledge.

Who You Are:

You have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. The expertise you will bring includes:

  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks such as preparing product informational packets for client presentations, creating item signage for new products, drafting valuation appraisals, sending art fair tickets, mailing catalogs, etc. 
  • Assist in the maintenance of inventory and Salesforce database information to help the Sales team prospect accurately.
  • Assist Sales Consultants with mailed and emailed correspondence as needed.
  • Assist with the shipping and receiving of inventory following shipping and insurance guidelines as instructed.
  • Create sales data reports using Salesforce CRM.
  • Record Sales Department meeting minutes and distribution to Sales team.
  • Prepare for and attend trade shows to support Sales team in all aforementioned capacities.
  • Give tours of the gallery upon request when sales members are not available.
  • Design and host bi-weekly Fine Art trainings for Sales team, later sharing results.
  • Manage company-wide training software as well as grading all assignments and updating lessons when needed.

Requirements

Other skills you will bring to M.S. Rau:

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of experience in a professional environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Preferred:

  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM
  • Courses in art history
  • Previous teaching experience

 Knowledge/Skills

  • Capable of promoting teamwork within the department and in coordination with other departments
  • Capable of reading and writing the English language to communicate with customers
  • Must be organized, detailed oriented, thorough, self-motivated, disciplined, flexible, and patient
  • Self-management, initiative and individual judgment is expected
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What We Offer:

Compensation and Hours

This is a full-time hourly position with a very competitive compensation range based on abilities and experience plus the potential to earn quarterly and annual bonuses. This position typically works Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 5:15 p.m. with a 30-minute meal break. There may be need for occasional evening work. Rotating Saturdays are required.

Work Environment

This job operates in a retail gallery environment with direct public contact daily. The employee answers telephone calls and occasionally bends, reaches, and pushes and pulls jewelry display cabinets to access merchandise. Moves within the building to collect, deliver, and copy documents. The position uses a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data. Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard.
