Job Description - Sales Coordinator - Hiring Immediately

For over 35 years, Yorktel has been the video managed services partner around the world for some of the largest business and government agencies. With over 10,000 video systems under management worldwide – more than any other video communications service provider – Yorktel has the proven expertise and global reach to deliver enterprise-quality visual communications.

Yorktel is currently seeking a Sales Coordinator who will deliver sales opportunities and assist with other sales department tasks as required. They will also manage daily operations of the sales department.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting all sales roles and providing stewardship over the daily internal sales processes.
  • Assist sales Account Manager in the preparation of draft proposals, RFI’s and RFP’s
  • Attending conferences as required to find and follow up new opportunities.
  • Manage the Yorktel database to ensure information on all accounts and/or prospects are up to date.
  • Manage multiple relationships with vendors, clients, and our partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work on own initiative, driving new opportunities creation through self-managed programs.
  • Highly organized and able to communicate effectively to determine next sales task and resolve issues.
  • Ability to cope with multiple projects.
  • Ability to integrate with Federal/Commercial sales and marketing teams.
  • Team player with a clear capability to understand York Telecom’s business.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with deadlines and constant re-prioritization.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to understand profitability impact.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and/or Business Studies or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of work experience preferred
  • Must be Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with the functionality of the Internet

Physical & Additional Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Limited weekend and/or night work may be required
  • Limited domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license is a requirement and must have a positive driver’s abstract.
  • Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts.
