The objective of the Sales Coordinator is to support the office, Test and Balance, and Sales groups. This role will support multilevel selling efforts for our Outside Sales Team by developing professional and personal relationships with current and perspective clients. Day-to-day assignments will vary and the ideal candidate must be able to prioritize needs to ensure the office is running smoothly and following company processes.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the sales team and their assigned accounts to assist positioning Powers of Arkansas for success during the project bidding, award, and construction processes.
Book jobs and enter purchase orders for the Air Distribution and Equipment teams.
Download and file plans from various contractors to prepare for the bidding process.
Assemble installation and operation manuals for every project.
Coordinate with the warehouse and accounting to complete stock tickets.
Maintain a working knowledge of all products and manufacturers represented by Powers of Arkansas.
Become familiar with factory personnel, products, model numbers, descriptions, and correct application of all products.
Price and prepare proposals from a set of construction documents, plans, specs, and project bid forms.
Create and maintain project folders and files.
Create project product submittals and other required documents.
Enter information from contractors into company bidding software and maintain bid lists.
Prompt communication with the project team regarding events that may impact project cost or schedules.
Coordinate equipment shipments with the contractor/customer, and freight companies including any warranty issues.
Coordinate with the salesperson and subcontractor to schedule installation, startup, etc. for equipment and projects.
Maintain a proactive attitude towards self-improvement and activities to support the efforts of all Powers of Arkansas teams.
Participate in factory and office-based training.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Intermediate skill level with Windows applications primarily Word, Excel, Power Point, and ability to learn manufacturer specific design and pricing software.
Familiarity with construction industry processes is a plus.
AutoCAD experience is a plus
Excellent customer service
Able to communicate effectively with employees of all levels.
Analytical and detail-oriented
