Primary Function/Purpose

As our Sales Counselor/Move-In Coordinator, you'll be the welcoming guide for prospective residents and families - from first inquiry to move-in day and beyond. This role blends sales savvy with genuine connection, partnering closely with the Director of Sales and Executive Director to drive occupancy, create meaningful first impressions, and ensure a smooth, thoughtful transition into our community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct tours for prospective residents and their families.
- Follow-up promptly on leads from all sources.
- Assure Customer Relationship Management database contains the most up-to-date information at all times.
- Employ the Prospect Centered Selling methodology.
- Participate in marketing events internally and externally
- Coordinate with internal resources including plant operations, life enrichment and dining services to achieve success and satisfaction from event attendees.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
- Available to meet with prospective residents during normal operating hours, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
- Participate in outside professional networking events.
- Provides follow up with prospects including home visits.
Pre-Move-In
- Contact (meet or call) family immediately after sale for introduction and coordinate Move-In process.
- Perform pre-check of the apartment and follow-up on any readiness issues.
- Assist family and resident with all Move-In logistics (except care concerns).
- Manage the collection of all pre–move-in paperwork and coordinate distribution to the appropriate departments to support a seamless move-in process.
Post Move-In
- Greet Resident/Family on Move-In day.
- Ensure that team is aware of new resident - Notify Nurses and Caregivers.
- Provide "Hand Holding" for Resident/Family as required.
- Provide Resident/Family a brief orientation to the apartment and surroundings.
- Update the Family within 24-48 hours of resident Move-In.
- Prepare contracts, move-in paperwork, and maintain accurate records, and provide Executive Director documents and information necessary to complete lease signing appointments.
- Act as a point of contact for prospective residents, families, and internal teams.
- Assist with special projects or tasks; other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree in sales and marketing, business or related field or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree in sales and marketing, business or related field preferred.
- Minimum two years' experience with sales management in senior or multi-family residential living.
- Demonstrated success in sales of senior living or other multi-unit environment.
- Ability to maintain customer relationship systems and employ the data to meet budgeted occupancy goals.
- Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft programs including, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook, Yardi and Enquire a plus.
- Demonstrated success in business development for senior living or health services.
- Must have strong relationship building skills.
- Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner Must be flexible in the hours, shifts and days available to work.
- Organizational and time management skills. Excellent hospitality skills.
- Must possess excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work and including when attending company events or home visits.
