Sales Data Analyst - Senior

Position Overview

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop robust reporting solutions, and ensure data integrity across multiple sources—primarily using Power BI and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

·        Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions

·        Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI (or similar tools)

·        Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources

·        Perform ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements

·        Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes

·        Automate data collection and reporting workflows to improve efficiency and scalability

·        Identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategy and performance

·        Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop alerts or visualizations to track them

·        Document data definitions, processes, and reporting standards for consistency and transparency

·        Partner with data engineering and IT teams to enhance data infrastructure and reporting capabilities

·        Stay current with BI tools, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve analytics maturity

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related analytical field

·        5+ years of experience with SQL (SQL Server Management Studio preferred)

·        5+ years of experience with Power BI or Tableau

·        Strong understanding of data warehousing and data wrangling techniques

·        Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills

·        Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively

·        Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills

·        Passion for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement

·        Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that support shared business goals.
