Job Description - Sales Development Rep

Baya Systems is inspired by the baya bird, also known as the weaver. Baya birds weave very unique and intricate hanging nests from different materials. The nests are robust and safe while being extremely lightweight and efficient.


Baya is a fast-moving Series B startup built by serial entrepreneurs with a vision to accelerate intelligent computing in the emerging chiplet era.  We focus on software-driven, unified fabric solutions for single-die and multi-die systems. We design and license disruptive intellectual property for use in semiconductor chips, with software development platforms to simplify the design process and reduce the time to market for complex System-on-Chip (SoC) and multi-chiplet systems. This enables our partners to innovate and deliver compelling solutions for data center, infrastructure, AI, Automotive, and Edge IoT markets. Sales Development Reps (SDR's)


 


We're looking for  hungry, competitive people who thrive under pressure and want to be part of building a sales engine from the ground up. You'll own the full sales cycle — from outbound prospecting and discovery through close


 


You'll be expected to move fast, figure things out without a playbook, and outwork the competition daily. If you want structure, hand-holding, and a slow ramp — this isn't the right fit. What You'll Do:


Own and manage the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through contract execution — no one is feeding you leads


Aggressively build pipeline through high-volume outbound outreach, creative prospecting, inbound follow-up, and referral development


Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations, translating complex AI/document processing capabilities into clear, urgent business value


Develop and deliver tailored proposals, ROI analyses, and business cases that drive fast decision-making


Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and high retention


Track all activity, pipeline, and forecasts


Provide real-time market feedback to leadership on competitive landscape, objections, pricing dynamics, and feature gaps


Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets — accountability is non-negotiable


Wear multiple hats as needed; this is a startup


WHO BAYA HOPES TO HIRE


2–5 years sales experience in a sales role, you've carried a quota and crushed it


Experience selling into Semiconductor or related Technology industries preferred however not limited to


Demonstrated ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close deals


Comfort selling technical products; ability to understand and articulate AI, automation, and data-driven value propositions


Strong discovery and consultative selling skills — you lead with the client's problem, not the product


High activity tolerance — you're comfortable making 50+ touches a day and don't need motivation to pick up the phone


Relentless work ethic and a chip on your shoulder; you take ownership and don't make excuses


Excellent verbal and written communication skills
