Job Description - Sales Director- Cryogenics - with Growth Opportunities

Job Purpose:

Develops sales and marketing strategy for this line of business in support of overall GEC strategy. Manages the Sales Representatives for this group. Actively prospects and sells product lines. Coordinates with Inside Sales team in support of customer orders, inquiries and account maintenance. Partners with Marketing in support of overall marketing strategy and deliverables.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related field preferred
- At least five years of managerial and sales experience; at least three years of technical sales experience in cryogenics or related field
- Demonstrated sales and prospecting skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Competent product knowledge and technical skills relating to cryogenic customers and markets.
-Full-time travel position which may require significant time away from home. 
-Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test. Must have valid drivers license and qualify for corporate auto insurance coverage.

Environment:

Air conditioned office and occasional work to be performed in non-air-conditioned environment. Adequate vision with or without correction for verifying written detail; able to lift and carry 40lbs safely; eye/hand/feet coordination.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develops and directs marketing and sales strategy for this business line. 

2.   Compares actual sales and profit projections to budgeted figures; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.

3. Services existing accounts, obtains orders, quotes products, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential prospects.

4. Develop and maintains list of prospective Customers for use as sales leads. Continually builds Customer relationships which support GEC’s Business Partner philosophy.

5. Maintains personal contact by traveling throughout assigned territory calling on regular and prospective Customers to solicit orders.

6. Learns and develops skills in using company software including Epicor; MITS and MS 365 Suite of products.

7. Displays or demonstrates product, using samples, classroom presentations, catalog, and emphasizes salable features.

8. Quotes prices and works with accounting department on payment terms. Prepares sales contracts for orders obtained. Develops skill with GEC order entry.

9. Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of Company’s production and delivery schedules.

10. Prepares reports of business activity and maintains weekly expense accounts.

11. Manages accounts receivable to meet assigned goals monthly.

12. Develops, maintains, and meets monthly specific performance goals as established with Manager.

13. Determines and meets Customer’s training needs. Conducts regular customer and employee training.

14. Promotes excellent communications between inside sales, outside sales, accounting, other branches, purchasing, and management.

15. Protects and maintains assigned Company assets.

16. Performs work in accordance with all safety rules and regulations.

17. Attends and participates in Company sponsored functions.

16. Attends and participates in trade show and related conventions including setting up and taking down booths, and staffing the booth as assigned.

18. Conducts duties and always represents Company in a professional and ethical manner.

19. Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of products and regulations pertaining to our industries.

20. Plans weekly itinerary and distributes plan to regional team.

21. May perform other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.
