Gradiant is recruiting a Director of Sales for the North American Industrial markets. In this role, the candidate will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales. The candidate will support the SVP Sales by developing and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and leading the sales team focused on clients in industrial markets, such as Semiconductors, Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, Food & Beverage, and Mining. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the organization’s sales strategy for the industrial markets, aligning it with overall business goals and objectives. Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship. Set clear sales targets and objectives, and create comprehensive sales plans to achieve them. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the sales department. Oversee and optimize the entire sales process, from lead generation and qualification to contract negotiation and deal closure. Ensure sales proposals and quotations align with client needs and budgets. Utilize market insights to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge. Foster strong relationships with key industry players and decision-makers. Skillfully negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to establish mutually beneficial agreements. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progression. Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management. Qualifications
10+ years of sales experience within the industrial water treatment sector 3+ years of experience leading sales teams Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Knowledge of water treatment technologies, equipment, and processes Proven leadership qualities with the ability to drive sales team performance Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Ability to present to diverse audiences from senior executives to field decision makers Strong leadership and cross-functional team management capabilities Ability to travel (40-50%) to meet with partners and clients as well as attend industry events
