Job Description - Sales Director - Regional

Sales Manager – Metal Industry (Defense & Aerospace)

We are a leading manufacturer of precision metal components, proudly serving clients in the defense and aerospace sectors. With a reputation for technical excellence and reliability, our mission is to deliver high-performance gear products that meet the industry’s most demanding standards.

Position Summary

The Sales Manager will oversee all Sales and Marketing operations, driving growth initiatives and cultivating strategic partnerships. This role is essential to expanding our market share within the metal industry, specifically in the defense and aerospace domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Drive business development efforts and identify new market opportunities
  • Prepare technical quotations and lead client negotiations
  • Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and market presence
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and report sales performance and KPIs to leadership

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of Technical Sales and Marketing experience in the metal and machining industry
  • Familiarity with the gear manufacturing sector – preferred
  • Experience in the aerospace industry – a strong plus
  • Competence in technical quoting and blueprint interpretation
  • Proven history of securing and growing new business accounts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; Epicor ERP experience is a plus
  • Strong references from managers and customers

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • A self-driven mindset with a strong sense of accountability
