Job Title: Sales Engineer

Position Location: Illinois; One Hour West of Chicago. IL

Approx. Length of Position: Direct Hire

Degree Required:  Bachelors or Master of Civil Engineering degree, or Architecture, Business, Marketing and/or relevant AEC industry experience
Salary: Base + Commission




The Sales Engineer is a dynamic, hybrid role that seamlessly blends sales acumen with deep technical expertise, specifically centering on Design Software and Drones for the Architecture, Engineering, Geospatial, and Construction (AEC) industries, with a strong emphasis on Civil Engineering. You'll be the primary technical point of contact for clients throughout the sales cycle, playing a pivotal role in driving deals to close. This position demands a strong sales-oriented approach, where you'll focus on understanding client needs and expertly articulating how our technical solutions directly address them.








Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on Autodesk AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) experience.

  • Strong understanding of geospatial workflows and drone technology in a professional context.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel frequently for client meetings and site visits.

  • Our clients are typically surveyors, civil engineering firms, infrastructure contractors, and land development professionals.

  • Technical Closure & Client Relationships

  • Software Training & Technical Support

Technical / Software skills:
Proficiency in the basic technical skills:

  • Strong understanding of drone technology

  • Provide essential training and technical support for key software solutions, with a strong emphasis on Autodesk's AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The ability to obtain and maintain Autodesk Certified Instructor status is required for this role, though this certification process can occur after your hire.
