Sales Engineer

DCN is looking for a Sales Engineer to facilitate the design, verification, and deployment of customer services. This role also assists in the research and development efforts for network solutions and new products. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities

• Acts as a Sales resource by identifying customer needs and designing solutions to meet the customer’s IT needs.


• Acts as a liaison between the Sales staff and the Operations staff to facilitate the implementation and testing of customer solutions.


• Documents and validates customer solutions both pre-sales and post-sales to include the design, provisioning, and billing of sold services.


• Tests and validates customer solutions in a lab environment.


• Demonstrates service offerings to customers.


• Acts as a technical resource for the DCN RFP team when responding to customer RFPs and RFIs.


• Assists the Operations group by being a point of escalation when lab work is required to test or troubleshoot a customer or infrastructure configuration.

Successful candidates will be skilled in analytical thinking and problem solving as well as reading and interpreting technical documents/information. Strong internal and external communication is essential. The ability to evaluate, test, and repair transport, carrier ethernet, and IP services and equipment is a must.
