Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager

Job Description

Description: Responsible for demand management and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes for organization’s systems manufacturing businesses. Duties include:

· Plan and implement activities required for timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality control of production materials;

· Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions;

· Ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels including reviewing and planning requirements for acceptable inventory;

· Source and supply raw materials, utilities, and outside services, and coordinate global procurement efforts;

· Coordinate with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs;

· Assist customers with auditing inventory levels and internal and external vendors with complying with inventory policies;

· Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function;

· Develop and implement optimal sales and operations processes and provide a twelve (12) month rolling forecast and overall production plan that meets sales forecast and available capacity across Sales, Finance, Service, Product Management, and Operations;

· Develop Planning Bills of Materials (BOMs), Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Metrics, and Inventory Plans that drive to zero-part shortages, enable on time shipments, reduce customer lead time, and reduce Errors and Omissions (E&O) risk with local supply chain teams;

· Design and implement improved SIOP business processes and toolsets adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies;

· Facilitate consensus sales forecast; and

· Collaborate with operations and planners to agree to master plan and backlog recovery actions.

Telecommuting permissible within commuting distance of worksite.

Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field and 3 years of semiconductor supply chain project management experience. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field and 5 years of semiconductor supply chain project management experience.

Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently:

1) 3 years of experience in supply chain functions of SIOP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Material Requirements Planning, Master Scheduling, Inventory Planning and Capacity Planning.

2) 3 years of experience in forecasting, supply chain optimization, and cross functional project management.

3) 3 years of experience developing and maintaining accurate 12-18 month rolling forecasts/budgets that align with product, operations, sales, and finance teams.

4) 3 years of experience with semiconductor high-mix, low-volume product environment and long lead time component planning.

5) 3 years of experience applying lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and lead time, minimize waste by optimizing safety stock, and improve planning cycle time.

6) 3 years of experience collaborating with procurement and supplier management teams to ensure material availability and mitigate risk related to supply chain disruptions.

7) 3 years of experience leading cross functional projects to identify risk and supply constraints and develop mitigation strategies.

8) 3 years of experience in leading New Product Introduction/Engineering planning transition, material ramp readiness, and End of Life (EOL) transitions.

9) 3 years of experience using ERP and planning tools including Oracle or SAP.

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
