Lot Attendant/Porter Responsibilities

• 
  
  Sales Display Lot Organization & Management:  Move, park, arrange, and maintain vehicles neatly displayed in the designated areas.
  
  


• Maintain an organized lot to maximize space efficiency and meet our lot appearance standards.


• Place merchandising stickers on vehicle windshields and re-sticker daily when prices change on a vehicle.


• Place Buyers Guides and Equipment Listing on the Driver Side rear window of every Used Vehicle to maintain compliance.


• Assist with vehicle deliveries and vehicle pick-up by inspecting vehicles for damage, removing transportation covering (exterior/interior) and securing a Bill of Laden from the transportation company delivering or picking up a vehicle.


• Conduct basic inspections to ensure vehicles are clean and damage-free.


• Check fluid levels, tire pressure, and fuel levels and report any vehicle that needs our attention to the Sales Manager on duty.


• Report any damage, mechanical issues, or missing parts to the Sales Manager on duty immediately upon noticing something wrong.


• Wash and vacuum vehicles to ensure they are clean and ready to present to a customer.


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, such as drive lane clearance, fire lane clearance, etc.


• Keep a record of vehicles at our storage facility and track movement between our main lot and our storage lot.


• Monitor the lot to assist in the prevention of theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access to company or customer property.


• Lock and secure vehicles when necessary.


• Remove trash and debris from the lot and maintain a clean appearance in and around the dealership.


• Greet and assist customers by providing directions, assistance how needed, or answering questions.  When unable you would introduce the customer to the manager on duty.


• Assist with loading/unloading items when applicable.


• Assist with ensuring signage, lighting, and parking spaces are well-maintained.


• Delivering and picking up vehicles that need to be sent to another dealership/location for required services.


• Driving requested vehicles to Weight Stations and/or Smog Stations for needed certification.


• Refuel vehicles as requested by a Sales Manager.

• The Sales Lot Porter position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges.  Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour.
