Job Title: Sales Manager
Department: Sales
Reports to: General Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Schedule: Monday through Friday
9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
SUMMARY
Sales Manager is responsible for meeting the dealership’s budget for gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Recruiting / Selection of Candidates:
Orienting and Training the Selected Candidates:
Sales Production:
Plan;
“Game Plan”;
Owned, Operators, etc.
Training, etc. 8:00 am Tuesday – Friday; 7:45 am Monday and Saturday.
Supervising and Motivating the Sales Staff:

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two years of sales experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Professional personal appearance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current, valid, driver's license; satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) acceptable to the company’s insurance company in order to operate vehicles. May go on test-drives.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
S/he works closely with the department and the F&I department to transport paperwork and to discuss sales. Weekend, evening and holiday hours will be required.
