Kona Kai San Diego Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. We are currently seeking a positive, hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our fantastic team as our Sales Manager at our island-inspired resort.

THE JOB:

As a (Group) Sales Manager, you sell a minimum 85% of the time. Your primary sales focus is to further cultivate and develop the specifically within the small group market segment with an annual quota. The Small Group Sales Manager is responsible for driving business focusing on programs with 10–35 guest rooms on peak along with associated event and catering needs. The remaining 15% is dedicated to administrative tasks, reports and team activities. This role requires a proactive sales professional who excels at identifying, cultivating, and closing partnerships to achieve revenue goals while expanding the organization’s client base.

This role will reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing

• College degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of hotel sales
• Proficiency in Microsoft office
• Proven success in sales and client relationship development experience in hotel sales, hospitality, or a related field preferred strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
• Proficiency in CRM and sales tools (Delphi experience a plus)
• Organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Understanding of Revenue Management principles and practices, including pricing strategies
