JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  

  Oversee all aspects of the dealership's pre-owned vehicle operations

  
  


• 
  

  Manage used vehicle inventory, pricing, and aging

  
  


• 
  

  Appraise customer trade-ins accurately and competitively

  
  


• 
  

  Purchase inventory through auctions, trade-ins, and other available sources

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor market conditions and adjust inventory pricing to remain competitive

  
  


• 
  

  Maximize used vehicle sales volume and front-end gross profit

  
  


• 
  

  Manage vehicle reconditioning expenses and turnaround times

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with the Service Department to ensure vehicles are retail-ready

  
  


• 
  

  Train, motivate, and develop the sales team

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with customer negotiations and deal structuring

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

  
  


• 
  

  Work with the General Manager to achieve dealership sales and profitability objectives

  
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  

  Previous automotive Used Car Sales Manager experience strongly preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Proven ability to manage inventory and maximize profitability

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of vehicle appraisals and wholesale market conditions

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with automotive auctions and inventory acquisition

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of used vehicle pricing tools and market-based pricing strategies

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to manage inventory aging and reconditioning expenses

  
  


• 
  

  Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills

  
  


• 
  

  Results-oriented with a commitment to customer satisfaction

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
